Nina Afremov

Nina is an experienced Russian-to-English translator, writer, and tutor, with two degrees from the University of Minnesota - a Bachelor of Science in Technical Writing & Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian. She has a passion for all things related to writing, language, and intercultural communication. TEFL certified, Nina has extensive experience working with children and college-aged students to help them reach their linguistic goals. From teaching children Russian in a summer-immersion environment, to helping both monolingual and multilingual students with college writing, Nina takes a holistic approach when assisting people from various backgrounds with differing needs. 

Nina also has experience as a creative writer and content creator. She wrote for the University of Minnesota's student-run magazine The Wake for two semesters and maintains a regular creative writing practice.
